Solution Architect (Cloud, Data & AI)

Location: Remote (U.S. – East Coast preferred)

Compensation

• Total Comp: $250K – $350K
• Structure: 60% base / 20% bonus / 20% equity (ESOP)

About the Role

We’re partnering with an AI-first technology firm to hire a Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable cloud and AI solutions for enterprise clients.

This is a high-impact, client-facing role combining architecture leadership, presales ownership, and delivery oversight. You’ll work directly with senior stakeholders across industries like financial services and life sciences, helping translate complex business challenges into modern cloud and AI-driven solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Lead customer discovery and translate business needs into cloud, data, and AI architectures
• Design scalable solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, and hybrid environments
• Architect AI/GenAI and MLOps platforms for enterprise use cases
• Own presales efforts: solution design, sizing, proposals, and executive presentations
• Define security, governance, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO, GDPR, etc.)
• Create architecture designs across APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and data flows
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior enterprise stakeholders
• Partner with delivery teams to drive solutions from concept to deployment
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to build POCs and go-to-market solutions
• Mentor architects and contribute to broader architecture strategy

What They’re Looking For

• 10–15+ years in IT, including 7+ years in solution/cloud architecture
• Proven experience designing multi-cloud or hybrid solutions for enterprise environments
• Strong presales background (RFPs, deal shaping, executive presentations)
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML or GenAI technologies
• Background in financial services or life sciences strongly preferred
• Experience working with large enterprise / Fortune 1000 clients
• Ability to operate at both technical depth and business strategy level

• Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP
• Containers: Kubernetes, EKS, OpenShift
• DevOps: Terraform, GitOps, Jenkins, Ansible
• AI/ML: Bedrock, SageMaker, PyTorch, LangChain, MLflow
• Security: IAM, Zero Trust, SAML/OIDC, DevSecOps
• Observability: Grafana, Prometheus, Cloud-native tools

Nice to Have

• Experience with agentic AI or advanced GenAI use cases
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, ArchiMate)
• Cloud or architecture certifications (AWS, Azure, etc.)
