Growth Engineer – Product Growth

Location: Remote across the Americas (UTC-3 to UTC-10)
Compensation: $205,000–250,000 base salary plus equity
Type: Full-time

About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing Series A AI infrastructure and developer-tools company building technology that helps developers reliably access and use web data in AI applications.

The company has achieved significant revenue growth and open-source adoption while maintaining a small, highly technical team. Engineers work closely with the founders, customers and one another, with limited process and broad ownership.

About the Role

We are seeking a full-stack Growth Engineer to own the product journey from signup through activation, onboarding, conversion and upgrades.

This is a hands-on engineering role. You will identify growth opportunities, form hypotheses, instrument the funnel, ship experiments and use the results to determine what happens next. Success will be measured by the product and business outcomes you move—not simply the number of features delivered.

This is not a growth-marketing, SEO, lifecycle-marketing or GTM-operations position.

What You’ll Do

  • Own signup, activation, onboarding, conversion and upgrade experiences end to end.
  • Identify funnel friction through product data, customer feedback and direct observation.
  • Develop hypotheses and design experiments with clear success metrics and guardrails.
  • Build and ship full-stack product experiments across frontend, backend and data layers.
  • Instrument user journeys and establish reliable measurement for growth decisions.
  • Run A/B tests, evaluate results and iterate based on successful, failed or inconclusive experiments.
  • Improve developer-facing experiences, including APIs, SDKs, playgrounds, documentation and in-product guidance.
  • Work directly with customers and support issues to understand where developers are getting stuck.
  • Use AI and LLM capabilities when they can materially improve onboarding, adoption or product workflows.
  • Operate independently in an environment where requirements and priorities can change quickly.

What We’re Looking For

  • Five or more years of professional full-stack software-engineering experience.
  • Meaningful experience owning product growth, PLG, activation, onboarding, conversion, monetization or upgrade initiatives.
  • Direct ownership of measurable funnel outcomes, with the ability to explain the baseline, intervention and result.
  • Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests, including experiments that failed or produced inconclusive results.
  • Strong frontend and backend engineering ability; this is not a pure frontend or backend role.
  • Experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript and Node.js, or a closely related modern full-stack environment.
  • Experience building developer-facing or SaaS products such as APIs, SDKs, developer onboarding, playgrounds or documentation tools.
  • A track record of taking underspecified problems from idea through launch, measurement and follow-up iteration.
  • Comfort operating with urgency, ambiguity and short feedback loops.
  • Clear communication and the ability to explain technical and product decisions concretely.
  • Evidence of staying with initiatives long enough to measure results and improve upon the initial release.

Preferred Experience

  • Developer tools, infrastructure, API platforms or AI-native products.
  • Product-led growth at an early-stage or rapidly scaling SaaS company.
  • Product analytics and experimentation tools such as PostHog, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Statsig, Segment or Optimizely.
  • Production experience with LLMs, prompting, tool use or inference pipelines.
  • Experience working directly with founders, customers or developer communities.
  • Prior success in a small, high-ownership engineering organization.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $205,000–250,000 base salary plus competitive equity.
  • Remote work across the Americas within UTC-3 to UTC-10.
  • Company-paid medical, dental and vision coverage for employees.
  • Wellness and professional-learning stipends.
  • Paid time off and paid parental leave.
  • Benefits and employment arrangements may vary by location.
