Business Development Executive - Capital Markets

As the Business Development Executive – Americas Capital Markets, you will contribute your expertise to managing the client, business development and marketing efforts for the Americas Capital Markets Regional Section.

Duties and Accountabilities
  • Assist in the preparation of pitches, proposals and presentations to clients in a timely manner and to an appropriately high standard.
  • Responsible for maintaining up-to-date materials with respect to the experience and capabilities of the capital markets group, including deal lists, capability statements, brochures and other forms of marketing collateral, in both Microsoft Word and PowerPoint formats.
  • Assist in drafting submissions for legal directories and awards opportunities, including those for Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500 and Law360, as well as assisting in the gathering of client references, and providing feedback and reporting on rankings.
  • Leading the process for reporting the closure of ACM deals to external deal tracking sources such as Thomson Reuters and Bloomberg, on a quarterly basis, for league table credit.
  • Learning and using the Firm’s internal data collection systems, including the matter profiling system, the CRM system (InterAction) and others, for tracking of proposals, maintaining updated client contact information and other BD-related tracking and intelligence purposes.
  • Learning and using external intelligence databases, such as Thomson One Banker and MergerMarket, for market research and intelligence-gathering requests.
  • Working with coordinators and technology and creative design support groups to draft invitations for events, client alerts, newsletters and other publications, by means of marketing campaigns through regularly maintained client email distribution lists and direct outreach.
  • Working directly with the lawyers in the ACM group on regular periodic updates to their biographies on the public website and the Firm’s internal system.
  • Coordinating with the Firm’s Events team on business development-related aspects of events planning and organization.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Two years or more of marketing or relevant experience is desired.
