Network Security Manager

The network Security Manager will oversee the systems, processes, and controls we use to detect, prevent, investigate, and resolve security events within our network infrastructure by partnering with our information services personnel and service providers.

  • Investigate suspected security events reported by our security program.  If a network centered incident occurs, you will be a leading member of our incident response team.  Periodically, you will report your findings to senior management and business personnel.  Using your security knowledge, you will collaborate with teammates across multiple disciplines to build effective security strategies.
  • Continually improve our security program.  Understand our risk tolerances, threats, and environment and make recommendations for network security solutions to support our business.
  • Maintain the systems, software, and relationships to operate our global information security program efficiently at scale. Periodically, participate in our compliance program as a security expert.
  • In addition, responsibilities related to maintaining firm and client information are to be adhered to by all employees. This includes complying with the firm’s information security policies, protecting firm assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference, and reporting security events or potential events or other security risks to management.

Supervisory responsibilities
Supervise manage security service providers.

  • Hands-on technical experience with the security aspect of networking equipment including switches, firewalls, load balancers, reverse proxies, identity based network access controllers, and VPN gateways.
  • A demonstrated interest in developing security orchestration and automation techniques.
  • Experience conducting a business impact and risk based threat analysis.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and can take the lead if needed.
  • Ability to efficiently assess the impact of a suspected security event.
  • Dedicated to self-directed and continuous security education.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Adept at delivering results via collaboration.

Education and/or experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a network security operations role using leading security solutions required.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Law firm experience is a plus but not required.
  • CISSP certification is a plus but not required.
