Audio Visual Specialist

New York City, NY



A major Wall Street law firm, has an opening for an Audio Video Specialist, in our IT department. The ideal candidate will have experience with audio conference, video conference, live presentations and video recording. Reporting to the Audio Visual Supervisor, you will be responsible for the setup, configuration, troubleshooting and testing of audio-visual technologies used in events connecting multiple locations. You will work with your customer support peers and others in the department to correctly identify event needs and provide consistent customer satisfaction. You will continue the trend of excellence the IT department has established and make our environment a model for others to mimic.


You are the initial point of contact for A/V issues and must have very strong technical skills in:
  • Windows 7/10, Mac OS, Office 2010 or above
  • Cisco Webex and Cisco video conferencing equipment
  • iManage WorkSite, Workshare, Innova, Microsystems, Adobe Acrobat and Citrix XenApp
  • Presentation software like Powerpoint, Prezi, WebEx, and GoToMeeting
  • RSA, Mobile Device Management
  • Service-Now, Active Directory, Cisco Finesse ACD system
  • PC desktop and laptop hardware, A/V technologies and more


Day-to-day responsibilities and characteristics:
  • Ensure correct equipment is in place for various meeting types; Audio conferencing including point-to-point and multi-point / bridge technologies; Video conferencing including recording and streaming to an internal audience
  • Ensure that appropriate testing of equipment is completed prior to meetings
  • Maintain an inventory of microphones, video screen, projectors, wires and cables
  • Maintain the IT knowledge base ensuring all entries are relevant and accurate
  • Setup, breakdown and troubleshoot AV equipment for conference rooms, visitors and new hires
  • Effectively able to communicate with all employees and staff at all levels


Skills and other requirements:
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience working in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Schedule of 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. with occasional overtime
