Business Intelligence Engineer

Reporting to the Senior Applications Manager, the Business Intellgence Engineer's primary responsibilities will include creating complex PowerBI dashboards, data models, and SSRS reports. Additionally, the Business Intelligence Engineer will take ownership of existing PowerBI dashboards and SSRS reports, providing support and making adjustments as necessary. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft Business Intelligence tools, including PowerBI, SQL, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, and others.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain complex PowerBI dashboards and DAX queries.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for reporting purposes, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Design and develop Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports, including data-driven subscriptions.
  • Create and manage Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) data cubes.
  • Build ETL packages using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Conduct thorough validation of reports and dashboards to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications
  • 4-year college degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence, specifically in building reports or dashboards based on requirements.
  • Prior experience in a Legal environment is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server BI Stack tools and technologies, such as SSRS and TSQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX.
  • Strong expertise in building complex PowerBI dashboards and writing DAX queries, including experience with Power BI application security layer models.
  • Analytical thinking for converting data into relevant reports and graphics.
  • Experience in SQL programming, including writing complex queries, views, and stored procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) development, including data-driven subscriptions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) data cube development.
  • Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for building ETL packages.
  • Experience with Aderant Expert database is a plus.
  • Knowledge of C# and .Net, HTML5 programming is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong validation skills.
  • Strong verbal communication and documentation skills.

The base salary for this position is $135,000 to $155,000.
