Revenue Operations Advisor

The Revenue Operations Advisor works with the Revenue Operations and Global Revenue teams by helping drive efficiencies and standardization in the following areas: Billing & Collections Operations; Technology & Reporting; Training & Knowledge Management.  They play a crucial role in bolstering revenue generation through reporting development and enhancement and process improvement in coordination with stakeholders across the Finance team and firm.

Responsibilities

Billing & Collections Operations

  • Facilitate Accounts Receivable and Unbilled Time reporting globally (for practice groups and offices) and coordinate responses from Client Account team.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Revenue Operations Manager and Client Account Managers to identify additional activities that can shorten the billing cycle by leveraging both internal resources as well as firm’s outsourced resources.
  • Actively participate in internal meetings to discuss monthly billing and collections data and strategies.
  • Help create and maintain client requested reporting or analysis on billing and collections activities.
  • Conduct audits and facilitate clean-up of key matter information to help improve overall reporting.
  • Process and track write-off requests; assist in development of write-off reporting to provide to senior management and develop strategies in conjunction with Sr. Revenue Operations Manager and Client Account teams in order to help improve matter profitability.
  • Assist in development and implementation of billing and collections KPIs.
  • Respond professionally and timely to analysis and information requests.
  • Special projects, as needed.

Technology & Reporting

  • Participate in technology assessments and testing.
  • Create or update existing reports to assist Pricing Operations, eBilling, or Client Account Teams in coordination with technology and reporting teams.
  • Coordinate documentation/requirements of proposed systems or report updates for global revenue team.

Training & Knowledge Management

  • Assist in development and maintenance of global training curriculum; work with revenue team to identify training gaps, identify key trainers (globally), and organize an annual schedule so the teams can continue to develop technical skills as well as refresh existing knowledge.
  • Help organize new hire training (session and schedule) for revenue team. Ensure a consistent on-boarding experience for revenue team and work with key areas and SMEs to identify the best pacing, skills, and training priorities.
  • Maintain knowledge management site and key documentation, and develop documentation/user guides to help global teams access information easily; review and assess existing knowledge management sites globally to establish best practices and consistent approaches.
  • Coordinate with internal Learning & Development colleagues on additional training opportunities globally.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of previous experience as a financial analyst, billing or collections analyst, or in a related field
  • College Degree with a major in Accounting, Finance or Economics. Minimum GPA in major and overall 3.0, respectively
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, including experience in creating Excel models; experience using Excel Macros or VBA a plus
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Strong collaboration skills, able to work effectively both as a team member and independently
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (please provide analytical writing sample, in addition to a standard cover letter)
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Must be able to manage multiple, competing deadlines and prioritize work accordingly
  • Working knowledge of financial or reporting database structure. Experience using Aderant Expert, BillBlast, IBM Cognos or SQL a plus
  • Available for work on nights and weekends to meet deadlines and deliverables

*The base salary for this position is $110,000 to $140,000
