Seeking a Pricing Manager who will lead and manage the pricing process for the Litigation Practice Group and work directly with the Senior Legal Project Manager and partners on pricing initiatives. This role is responsible for task-based budget modeling and budget-to-actuals reporting for select clients and matters. The Pricing Manager provides leadership, direction, and support to the firm on pricing strategy, the day-to-day management of budgets, and the systems for monitoring budgets.
This position can be based in our Silicon Valley, San Francisco or New York office location and offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to work both from home and at your designated Fenwick office. The frequency of in-office work will be determined by business needs and guided by your department's directives.
Job Description:
- Oversee the creation and monitoring of budgets for the litigation practice.
- Consult with partners on all large projects in process and proactively communicate guidance on pricing and budget issues.
- Develop and refine standard budget templates for various types of litigation matters.
- Supervise pricing analysts in refining and documenting budgeting procedures and data analysis projects.
- Lead the pricing response on client proposals and responses to RFPs to competitively price our legal work based on best practices, including efficient work allocation and achievability.
- Work with Senior Legal Project Manager and key partners to regularly review budgeting processes and manage the pricing team in implementing any changes within the Practice Group as appropriate.
- Design and development of fixed fee and other alternative fee arrangements (AFAs).
- Develop and implement financial models to assess the profitability of new business proposals and create pricing solutions in response to client requests.
- Lead cross-functional teams (including staff and attorneys from practice groups, marketing, billing, and IT) on the launch of pricing initiatives.
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on pricing strategies and budget expectations.
- Lead post-action review meetings to obtain pricing and budgeting best practices.

Reporting to the Director of Pricing and Legal Project Management, the ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in finance positions with emphasis on designing and analyzing pricing, budgeting and alternative business models. Bachelor’s degree is required, an MBA or JD a plus. Law firm experience is required. Supervisory or management experience a plus.

$115,000 - $172,750
