Software Engineer, Fullstack (remote)

US, Remote

We are a venture-backed aerospace and defense technology startup building next-generation autonomous aircraft systems. Our mission is to redefine distributed air operations through advanced swarming aircraft and a powerful real-time Command & Control (C2) platform.

Our team includes founders and engineers who have built and exited startups, negotiated major defense programs, and designed dozens of novel aircraft across leading aerospace organizations.

We are moving fast to deploy the first aircraft purpose-built for coordinated swarming — alongside the software infrastructure required to control thousands of heterogeneous autonomous systems at scale.

The Role

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will help build the real-time Command & Control platform that enables operators to plan, coordinate, and execute missions across large distributed aircraft networks.

This role blends complex frontend architecture with distributed backend systems. You’ll work on high-performance, real-time software used in operational environments where reliability and clarity matter.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect and build frontend systems for a real-time Command & Control platform
  • Develop distributed, collaborative infrastructure for managing large numbers of autonomous systems with intermittent connectivity
  • Design and implement new UI paradigms for visualizing telemetry, sensor data, scheduling, resource allocation, and data link management
  • Own full-stack features from system design through deployment
  • Ship early and often with strong CI/CD, QA, and DevSecOps practices

What You Bring

  • Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years building complex full-stack applications with meaningful frontend and backend ownership
  • Strong experience building web applications using React (or similar frameworks)
  • Understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to build intuitive, high-signal interfaces

Strong Pluses

  • Experience building performance-sensitive applications
  • Background in simulation, gaming, or real-time UI systems (immediate vs retained mode UIs)
  • Familiarity with video streaming protocols
  • Experience with WebGL / OpenGL
  • Working knowledge of C++
  • Experience building geospatial or mapping applications

Compensation

$195,000 – $250,000 base salary + equity

Additional Requirements

Due to the nature of the work and export regulations, candidates must be U.S. citizens or otherwise authorized to work on U.S. government-controlled technologies.

Background verification required prior to employment.
