Senior / Staff Software Engineer (AI + Fintech) — Remote (US)

We’re working with a fast-growing, AI-native fintech company rebuilding the mortgage stack from the ground up.

Today, lenders still rely on 20-year-old systems, with ~$11K in human cost per loan. This team is changing that—automating complex workflows with AI and already powering $85B+ in home loans.

They’re now hiring a Senior/Staff Engineer to help build the systems that could power a meaningful percentage of U.S. home lending.

What You’ll Do

• Build and ship production code immediately (day 1 impact)
• Architect AI-driven workflows and multi-step agents
• Integrate with complex third-party lending APIs
• Design scalable backend systems and job processing infrastructure
• Own features end-to-end (design → deployment → iteration)

• TypeScript (end-to-end)
• React, Node/Express, GraphQL/Apollo
• Postgres
• AWS (ECS, RDS, Kafka, ElasticSearch, etc.)
• Terraform (100% IaC)

What They’re Looking For

• 7–25 years experience, 5+ years at Senior level
• Strong full-stack engineering (not siloed backend)
• Deep TypeScript experience in production systems
• Proven track record of shipping real products end-to-end
• Experience scaling distributed systems in AWS
• Product-oriented mindset (not just ticket execution)
