Senior Sales Engineer (Remote)

We’re partnering with a fast-growing, venture-backed SaaS company building a modern platform for security and compliance automation. They’re expanding their GTM team and hiring a foundational Sales Engineer to help drive technical wins across mid-market and enterprise customers.

This is a high-impact, 0→1 role where you’ll own the technical sales motion end-to-end and help shape how the company engages with customers at scale.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead technical discovery to understand customer environments, security posture, and compliance needs
  • Deliver tailored product demos and articulate clear business + technical value
  • Own and drive POCs / evaluations from scoping through successful technical win
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to influence deal strategy and close complex opportunities
  • Design solution architectures and integration workflows aligned to customer requirements
  • Build repeatable pre-sales processes, demo environments, and playbooks
  • Act as the voice of the customer with Product and Engineering
  • Support RFPs, technical documentation, and competitive positioning

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–8+ years in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Pre-Sales
  • Experience supporting B2B SaaS or cloud platforms
  • Proven track record of leading demos, POCs, and technical evaluations
  • Strong experience working with mid-market or enterprise customers
  • Ability to own deals technically—not just support demos
  • Experience with security, compliance, or GRC-related platforms
  • Familiarity with frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, etc.
  • Comfortable working in early-stage or high-growth environments with ambiguity
  • Strong communication skills—able to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value

Nice to Have

  • Background in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, or identity/security tooling
  • Experience as an early or founding Sales Engineer building processes from scratch
  • Exposure to APIs, integrations, and modern cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or similar
