Compensation: $200,000–$300,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus equity

A growing, technology-enabled law firm is seeking a Corporate / ECVC Associate to advise venture-backed startups and help shape a modern approach to legal services.
The firm brings together attorneys, operational professionals, and engineers to support emerging companies across their legal and business needs. This position offers direct founder interaction, meaningful client responsibility, and the opportunity to improve the tools and processes used to deliver legal work.
The Role
You will work within a dedicated client team, supporting startups on day-to-day corporate matters and venture financings. Responsibilities include:
- Advising founders on corporate governance, board and stockholder actions, equity grants, and general corporate questions.
- Drafting and reviewing formation documents, SAFEs, convertible notes, and priced-round financing documents.
- Supporting Delaware corporations and public benefit corporations as they form, raise capital, and grow.
- Developing ongoing client relationships and providing clear, practical guidance.
- Coordinating with other attorneys and operational teammates to address client needs.
- Delegating effectively to paralegals and providing the context needed to move work forward.
- Collaborating with engineers to improve internal tools, workflows, and legal-service delivery.
What We’re Looking For
- Approximately 2–6 years of post-JD experience, including substantive emerging-company or venture-capital work.
- Experience with startup corporate matters and venture financings.
- Exposure to multiple clients and industries.
- Strong transactional training, ideally from a leading corporate/ECVC practice. Relevant boutique, in-house, or entrepreneurial practice experience is also welcome.
- Ability to communicate directly with founders and translate legal issues into practical business guidance.
- Sound judgment, attention to detail, and comfort managing responsibilities with appropriate autonomy.
- Interest in using AI and other technology thoughtfully to improve legal work.
- Genuine enthusiasm for helping build a growing firm.
- JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
