Product Engineer - Interact (Remote
Location: Remote, Americas only
Compensation: $180K–$290K + equity
Employment Type: Full-time
We’re hiring a Product Engineer — Interact to own the browser interaction layer for a fast-growing AI developer tools company.
This product lets developers go beyond static scraping: clicking, filling forms, navigating pages, chaining sessions, completing authenticated workflows, and extracting data that normal scraping cannot reach.
This is the company’s #1 product hire. You will own product decisions, not just code. You’ll talk to developers, understand what they actually need, make prioritization calls with incomplete information, and ship quickly.
What You’ll Do
- Own the Interact product end-to-end: prompt-based interaction, scrape-then-interact workflows, session chaining, persistent profiles, and live view.
- Build reliable browser interaction for AI agents.
- Make workflows like “click login and fill the email field” work across messy real-world websites.
- Talk to developers, read GitHub issues/support threads, and turn signal into product decisions.
- Obsess over developer experience: latency, response shape, errors, docs, and API design.
- Ship fast experiments, measure what works, and decide what to keep, change, or kill.
You’re a Fit If You
- Have shipped browser automation, agent tooling, or web interaction APIs to external developers.
- Have hands-on experience with Playwright, Puppeteer, browser-use, Stagehand, Chromium, or similar tools.
- Are fluent in TypeScript/Node.js.
- Understand how AI agents select and use tools.
- Know what makes prompt-based browser interaction reliable vs. fragile.
- Have owned features end-to-end without a PM or designer.
- Think product-first and care deeply about developer experience.
- Are based in the Americas, UTC-3 to UTC-10.
You’re Not a Fit If You
- Need a PM to tell you what to build.
- Have only used browser automation for internal testing.
- Build strong infrastructure but don’t care how the product feels to developers.
- Haven’t thought deeply about how AI agents use browser interaction tools.
- Optimize for technical elegance over shipping the right product.
