Account Manager (Fulltime | Remote)

A full service, leading boutique Investor and Public Relations firm, is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join its growing Public Relations agency. The position will report directly to the Managing Director of Public Relations and help manage day-to-day client activities and grow the business. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the public markets and experience with micro- and/or small-cap companies and in life sciences, technology, and energy/cleantech.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with clients and the Managing Director to create and implement dynamic client development strategies
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of, and be conversant in, relevant client's business, products, industry, and competitive landscape
  • Develop authoritative and authentic content on behalf of diverse mix of public and private company clients
  • Oversee comprehensive media relations programs including story ideation, media outreach, and interview management
  • Support thought leadership development, including overseeing speaking and award nomination processes
  • Handle clients’ social media accounts, including LinkedIn and X, using both individual platforms and Hootsuite
  • Support business development
  • Create PR and social media reports
  • Build and edit media lists using Meltwater
  • Track efforts in Salesforce

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in the field of Public Relations, agency experience is preferred
  • Experience in life sciences and technology industries, and with micro- or small-cap companies
  • A thorough understanding of the agency process and agency/client relationship model
  • Proven track-record of securing coverage in broadcast, financial, top tier, and trade media
  • Well-networked, having solid relationships with a variety of both B2B and B2C journalists
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrable social media management experience
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Detail-oriented
