Head of Engineering (Remote)

Compensation: $200,000 – $250,000 + equity
 

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced engineering leader to join as Head of Engineering. You’ll:

  • Solve complex technical challenges with efficient, innovative solutions.
  • Translate customer feedback into meaningful product improvements.
  • Design, evaluate, and implement full end-to-end solutions.
  • Lead a team of ~5 engineers.
  • Manage project requirements, priorities, and deliverables on schedule.
  • Own technical projects and processes.
  • Report directly to the founder and collaborate closely with other functions (e.g. design, product, etc.).

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering / Computer Science — or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 1 year leading a team.
  • Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
  • Deep Git proficiency.
  • Comfortable functioning as a full-stack engineering leader.
  • Product-oriented mindset and willingness to understand business context.
  • Experience running agile development processes.
  • Passion for solving complex problems, exploring new technologies (e.g. AI, voice-to-script, hardware), and building for scale.
  • Ability to clearly articulate trade-offs (features vs resources vs speed) to non-technical stakeholders.
