Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our firm. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope, preferably within a law firm or similar professional services environment. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage projects across IT and various departments effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budgets.
    • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure timely delivery.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Provide weekly executive status reports to key stakeholders.
    • Act as the primary point of contact between IT, business units, and external vendors.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Project Management Tools:
    • Utilize project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent to track project progress and maintain documentation.
  • Issue Resolution:
    • Identify potential risks and issues proactively.
    • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to resolve project-related challenges.
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead project teams, ensuring all members are aligned with project goals and timelines.
    • Mentor and guide team members to foster a collaborative working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • PMP certification preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Strong understanding of project management tools, particularly MS Project and Smartsheet.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to conflict resolution.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with legal technology and software implementations.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial analysis related to project management.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and systems within a law firm environment.
